Pain Relief Is Hiding in Your Kitchen!

Are you suffering from arthritis or sciatica? Have you been a bit too gung-ho with your New Year’s resolutions and overdone it at the gym? No matter what the cause of your aching muscles and joints, relief is at hand—from your kitchen cupboards and drawers!

Give arthritis the ol’ heave-ho:

Twice a day, drink a glass of 100 percent cherry juice with two cloves of minced garlic in it. Be sure not to chew the garlic, so you don’t wind up with dragon breath.

Ease the pain of sciatica with garlic milk:

Mince two cloves of unpeeled garlic, put them in about ½ cup of milk, and drink it down without chewing the garlic (again, that’ll save you from the dreaded garlic breath). Take a dose each morning and evening, and within a week, you should feel much better.

Subdue shin splints and sore muscles:

Apply castor oil to the affected area. Cover it with plastic wrap, and top it off with a heating pad set on low. The heat will help the oil penetrate your skin and act directly on your muscles to ease the pain and stiffness. Leave the pad on for 20 to 30 minutes, then wash the oil off with soap and water. Repeat the treatment several times a day as needed.

There now—doesn’t that feel better?
